Salami CD and its interesting packaging design was created by Mother Eleganza for LowVibe. The CD package was music album from Lithuanian musician Shidlas, titled Saliami Postmodern. The salami pattern CD is packed in a vacum sealed transparent plastic bag, just like real salami on supermarket’s freezer. The sticker with content is like it would be from meat shop. I don’t know how much people got tricked by this CD, wondering why the music store put frozen salami on CD rack. This salami CD looks very fresh and delicious that the ad put it together with fresh food. Even though very unique, this packaging cannot be reuse after opening, and we have to go to another store to buy empty CD case. Well, that’s the price we should pay, and I think its worth it.
